Frequently Asked Questions
Will it work on fine, thick or curly hair?
Yes. Fine hair gets oil moved off a flat part, and the longer pins reach the scalp through thick, wavy and curly hair. Curly hair is best brushed dry before wash day.
Will the pins scratch my scalp?
They glide. Every nylon pin ends in a rounded ball and the cushion flexes under pressure, so it feels like a scalp massage. 96% of women in our study felt no scratching at all.
How soon will I see a difference?
Your roots look lighter after the first brush. Most women go a full extra day between washes in week one and settle into washing every second or third day by week three.
Why not just buy a cheaper boar brush?
Most cheap brushes use short bristles that only reach the top layer, or bare nylon that scratches. Ours pairs dense boar tufts with longer ball-tipped pins on a cushion, so the oil leaves your scalp and your head stays comfortable.
Won't my hair smell if I wash less?
Your hair stays fresh. Odour comes from oil sitting at the root, and brushing moves that oil down your lengths where it conditions instead of building up.
How do I keep it clean?
Once a week, lift loose hair out with your fingers and wipe the cushion with a damp cloth. It takes about a minute.
What if it doesn't work for me?
You get a full refund within 30 days, used or unused. We pay return shipping on every return and email you a prepaid label.
